An African Experience – Summer 2008 - Carl Melville shares a diary of his visit to Zimbabwe

‘I'm Carl Melville, originally from Suffolk, and currently spending a year with the monks of the Community of the Resurrection, Mirfield. I am 21 years old. I got the chance to go with the brothers to Zimbabwe as they have had major links with Zimbabwe for over 100 years now.

Obviously, the country has changed dramatically since the brothers had a monastery there. However, links are still maintained and a few of the brothers regularly visit Zimbabwe. It will always be a place where I will go to take part in mission and have a number of projects there.
