ANGLICAN-INFORMATION regularly receives responses from those on our listings and we always reply. We have chosen to circulate this response to our latest mailshot about Malawi and Zimbabwe. We believe that it is important for our many worldwide readers to hear authentic voices from this part of Africa. We
have withheld the name of the correspondent in order to ensure that no intimidation
takes place but any replies can be forwarded through us at: mail@anglican-information.org Date: Tuesday December 18, 2007 07.16 "I am a proud Anglican but have been concerned about events in my church. Is Rt Revd Bishop Bakare in charge or ousted Bishop Kunonga? Is he still holding on to power or he wants the Diocese to be a sect under his control? Anglicans at my Church in Chitungwiza are concerned and worried about the trend of events. We are at home in Central Africa and as the saying goes, home is best. There are more gay people in Kenya than you would find in Malawi. This is just my opinion knowing the people of Kenya. We continue to pray for Bishop Kunonga during Mass yet we are informed that he was fired. I feel that Bishop Kunonga should go peacefully as a servant of God. He is an educated person and society will continue to respect him if he goes in peace. I pray that God will intervene in his church and let his people worship him in peace."
